2014 World Cup: Day 13 – Live Blogs & Updates

General Zod, my cat, has just gone to sleep on my notes.

. I can’t drink breakfast tea if it’s not breakfast, the universe will implode.

Here come the teams! Gigi Buffon is once again belting out that national anthem.

Me too JC, what a great article.

Two changes for Costa Rica today, Miller and Brenes in for Umana and Bolanos

The England players are visibly sweating just singing the national anthems.

Udyat, I can’t deny it’s a help to United, but I can’t hide my disappointment that this game ultimately means nothing.

Rugger, I’ve got weird OCD with teas. So that bodes well

Jeff, I only live for a capella second verses now.

Further updates on Costa Rica’s squad will have to wait

Buy A Wenger Swiss Raid Army Commando Watch Online: The World’s Toughest Watches

A 12 hour stopwatchis one of its features, along with a tachymeter that lets the user measurespeed across a certain distance. Letme start with the basics. The Raid watch is just as durable as the commandos whocompete. This can be used by an experienced and trainednavigator to measure distance while traveling at night or in an unknown area. It is alsowater resistant so you can swim or shower with it. Lesser watches use toughened glass, but this will scratch or chip if it isknocked about a little. Next a raid isinitiated which usually involves a simulated attack or an ambush.

The Swiss Raid is one of a stable of exceptionally toughwatches made by Wenger in Switzerland. Now you may not recognize the name, but Wenger is one of two Swiss companiesthat produce the original Swiss Army Knife. It isnt actually certifiedfor diving and if you need a diving watch then you could look at something likethe Wenger Battalion Diver watch, which has better seals to keep out the waterat depth.. In comparison, these Wenger watches will hold up to a lot of abuse in the outdoorsbecause they are made of durable materials and are crafted for use outdoors. This timepiece has an incredibly strong crystal facethat resists scratches.

Now most Swiss Army watches have great reputations, and youwont go wrong if you choose a Victorinox watch or any of the other Wenger Swiss Army Watchesthat are out there. For a reputable brand name watch, you may want tohave a budget from as low as $100 to $500. Both are now also owned by the same company, sinceVictorinox bought Wenger in 2005. With the Swiss raid, you willreceive a product that excels in durability and quality but doesnt cost theamount of a Tag or Rolex. The next thing is that it is coated with a super-hardceramic surface so it will not marked or scuffed easily if, for instance, youslip and scrape it against a rock while scrambling or bouldering. Most people do not want to spend large amounts of money on a watch, yet they are still looking for a durable model. The other is Victorinox. But if you are looking for a really tough watch then yourbest bet would be the Swiss Commando Watch. Bothalso make military style watches that have become known to the average personas Swiss Army watches. A lifetime warranty is included so you canreplacements for any parts that are broken.

The original name of this watch comes from the world famousSwiss military competition where military personnel compete with commandoexercises in team. Both havea reputation for great engineering and producing only the highest quality. Ascratch resistant surface lets the watch stand up well against rigors ofhunting, mountaineering, or any other type of active outdoor activity. Others are far more stylish and can come with a host of extrafeatures and add-ons.

Another great thing about this watch is that it is veryaffordable. Although this may seem like a largeamount of money, consider that the watch will most likely last you for life.

The dial is well illuminated and clear. The structure is very solid looking and can come in many differentstyles. This competition is to test overall toughness, militaryskill, and fitness. Contestants are pushed to the extreme in terms of obstaclecourses, shooting, and sneaking into enemy territory. Some of them have military designs with no frills and plain lookingrubber straps. If forsome reason your watch does have a problem, you can simply bring it to a SwissArmy Repair shop to get it fixed. They are not as tough as the CX Swiss Military Watch, but that watch costs a real bomb. The reason I recommend this Wenger commando watchis because it is famous first and foremost for its durability, functionalityand reliability

The Sprawling Town Of Bromley

In 1866 the novelist H. Wells was born in Bromley and to date remains one of its most famous residents. Formerly a market town the market square is at the centre of the town on the intersection of Church Road and the High Street.

For those families living within Bromley there is a great selection of schools, including 2 selective grammar schools, several outstanding OFSTED school and 2 specialist schools for Art and Media. There have been many other famous people born or who have lived in Bromley, these include Sir William Pitt (prime minister), David Bowie (musician), Christopher Tennant (actor), Charles Darwin (author of the Origin of Species), Michael York (actor), Gary Rhodes (celebrity chef), Billy Idol (rock star) and recent pop star Pixie Lott. The town was more of a village until in 1858 the railway passed through the village creating growth which led to the town of Bromley as it is known today. The town also has a reputation for producing professional footballers including the likes of Jason Roberts (Blackburn Rovers), Gary O’Neil (West Ham United), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United and England) and John Pantsil (Fulham F.C.).

Bromley has excellent transport links into London. Administered by the Borough of Bromley the town is home to the boroughs headquarters. The first recorded owners of Bromley were the Bishops of Rochester who owned the parish until Coles Child brought the parish from the Bishops in 1845. G. With bus routes to the local main towns Bromley is well placed for those wishing to get into the centre of London, however, with the exception of a night bus service, it has no direct bus route into the capital.

Originally called Bromleag, Bromley was recorded as a town as early as 862 AD, with its ancient name meaning a clearing in woodland where there is broom. The parish church has produced 3 Bishops in the 20th Century. During the years Bromley has been part of several different parishes, originally being that of Bromley St Peter and St Paul, until in 1965 it became the London Borough of Bromley, as it is today.

The town’s economy relies heavily on retail, with the town having a pedestrianised High Street and retail park called the Glades. Wells centre, also home of the Bromley Labour Club. Masons Hill is home to an H. Although not served by its own tube station Bromley does have 2 railway stations with links into Central London and further afield in Greater London and Kent. When coupled with the large number of theatres, libraries, cinemas and sporting facilities within the town Bromley is a perfect place for those wishing to be within easy reach of the centre of London to raise their families.

Javan Vidal ruled out of Wrexham AFC clash with Altrincham

Gary Mills confirmed Javan Vidal is a definite absentee for Saturdays visit of Altrincham, but insists he has a number of other options to fill the right-back berth.

Vidal was forced off with a hamstring strain in last Saturdays 1-1 draw at Sincil Bank, and will definitely be missing the visit of the Robins, while Mills also confirmed Adriano Moke would be in contention for the match after returning to training on Friday after having an infected tooth removed earlier in the week.

The loss of Vidal is a blow as the right-back has played every minute of Wrexhams eight games so far, but Mills adds he does have other options.

Mark Carrington played at right-back for the reserves in midweek, while the boss also suggested Manny Smith could move out to the right with Blaine Hudson starting at centre-half.

I have got options there, we have got two or three options, said Mills. I think Jav might be back for Tuesday (at Gateshead), he is very, very close to being fit, but with hamstrings you have to be very careful.

The options are that Carra played there in the reserves the other day, Manny could step in there which would mean Blaine coming in at centre-half, I have got two or three options that I can use.

LOOK: Wrexham’s draw in pictures

Another potential option would be to use forward Connor Jennings at right-back, something Mills eluded to in the immediate aftermath of the Sincil Bank stalemate.

Jennings played at left-back in pre-season at Gresford Athletic, and Mills was genuine in adding it was another option open to him.

Mills added: Seriously, he (Jennings) is a good player and good players can play anywhere, and that is why I feel he could fill in there.

I know we have had a joke about it this week between us but if I said to him tomorrow there you go, that is where you are playing I know what I would get from him.

He would be another option for me, but I dont think he has slept two or three nights thinking about that, but youll have to wait and see what I decide on.

Iniesta fit for crucial Chile clash; WORLD CUP.

All rights reserved.

Byline: Mark Langdon

ANDRES INIESTA has declared himself fit for Spain’s crucial World Cup clash against Group H table-toppers Chile tomorrow.

The European champions must win to seal their spot in the next phase and Iniesta believes he is ready despite coming off injured in last week’s 1-0 defeat to Switzerland, which has left Spain sweating on their last-16 berth.

“This game is going to be special, because they are playing for everything and I’m sure will have to come and attack from the start, but we will try and impose our style on the game as well,” said the former Liverpool man.

“I trained well and felt quite good and could do everything as normal,” said the key playmaker, who has struggled with niggles throughout the domestic campaign for Barcelona. . “The feelings are good and above all I hope to be available and hope to be at 100 per cent so I can help the team, although the question of being in the starting 11 is obviously one for the coach,” added Iniesta.

“I don’t think it’s ideal because when we are with the national team you have to focus,” he said.

Chile winger Mark Gonzalez, who scored the only goal of the game when the South Americans beat Switzerland 1-0 on Monday believes the clash with Spain could be a classic encounter.

It is still possible for Spain and Chile to both qualify if Honduras hold Switzerland and the Central Americans have promised to give everything tomorrow even though it is virtually impossible for them to qualify Coach Reinaldo Rueda said: “We must go out to win, and dignity must emerge.”

There is growing speculation in Spain that Iniesta could soon be joined by left-winger Juan Mata at Camp Nou and Valencia’s no-nonsense defender Carlos Marchena is concerned the transfer rumours may unsettle the squad.
